‘Diversity in Leadership’ workshop set Nov. 1

1:52 p.m., Oct. 28, 2005--A workshop designed to build communication skills and bridge racial divides is set for 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 1, in Multipurpose Room A of the Trabant University Center.

The opening talk in the 2005-06 Diversity in Leadership Series sponsored by Student Centers and SCPAB, Tuesday’s event will feature visiting speaker Jonathan Sprinkles, an expert on diversity and communication issues and this year’s nominee for both College Speaker of the Year and Diversity Performer of the Year.

Also chosen as the highest-ranking diversity/leadership speaker of 2004 by the Association of the Promotion of Campus Activities, Sprinkles will engage participants in discussions designed to boost awareness, tolerance and increased understanding between individuals of different racial, cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.

The free event is open to the public and UD students living both on and off the campus are encouraged to attend.
