UD hosts Discovery Days during July

1:59 p.m., July 6, 2005--The University of Delaware is hosting Discovery Days, summer open houses for prospective students and their families, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Saturdays, July 9, 16 and 23, and Friday, July 22.

Held to introduce high school juniors and seniors to UD’s academic programs and extracurricular activities, Discovery Days give college-bound students a chance to tour the campus and learn about UD’s many opportunities before making a decision.

Each day begins at UD’s Bob Carpenter Sports/Convocation Center and includes student-led walking tours of campus, residence hall open houses, information sessions on the admissions process and financial aid options, and information sessions on the Honors and study abroad programs. A two-hour information fair, attended by more 100 UD faculty, staff and students from various academic and service departments, also will be offered at the outset of each day.
