Dance competition set March 19

9:21 a.m., March 11, 2005--A dance competition and performance showcasing traditional dances from India and south Asia is set for 6 p.m., Saturday, March 19, in Mitchell Hall.

Sponsored by the Indian Students Association at UD, the performance will include routines by visiting dance troupes from colleges and universities across the Mid-Atlantic region, as well as routines by members of the Indian Students Association and other UD student organizations. Several local community groups also will showcase dances inspired by Indian and south Asian culture.

Seating will begin at 5:30 p.m., and tickets, priced at $10, will be sold at the door. Tickets purchased by Friday, March 18, are $8.
