Consumer studies course designation changes

8:58 a.m., July 29, 2005--The University has made two organizational changes within the College of Human Services, Education and Public Policy. The undergraduate major and minor in leadership have moved from the Department of Consumer Studies to the School of Urban Affairs and Public Policy, and the Department of Consumer Studies has been renamed the Department of Fashion and Apparel Studies.

Consequently, consumer studies (CNST) courses have been moved to either fashion and apparel studies (FASH) or leadership (LEAD). Students are advised to search for the appropriate section numbers that coincide with the change.

These changes were approved by the University Faculty Senate on Feb. 7 and went into effect in July.
