Talk on Middle East conflict Thursday 11:43 a.m., April 13, 2005--A lecture on conflict in the Middle East is set for 7 p.m., Thursday, April 14, in 004 Kirkbride Hall. The talk, which is sponsored by UDs student organization Blue Hens for Israel, will feature Mitchell Bard, executive director of the nonprofit American-Israeli Cooperative Enterprise. Bard, who lectures frequently on U.S.-Middle East policy and has appeared on NBC, MSNBC, CBC and other local and national TV and radio broadcasts, will focus on democracy in the Middle East and Israels role in it. Bard served as a senior analyst in the polling division of the 1988 presidential campaign of George H.W. Bush and is the author of 17 books, as well as articles in academic journals, magazines and major newspapers. The free talk is open to the public. For more information, call (302) 887-5590.
