Popular Calliope concert set for Oct. 22

The UD Wind Ensemble in performance at Calliope VIII
4:47 p.m., Oct. 13, 2005--Calliope X, a musical extravaganza featuring more than 400 of UD’s talented and versatile student musicians, will be presented at 8 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 22, in the Bob Carpenter Center.

The fast-paced, kaleidoscopic concert will showcase UD’s jazz bands, wind and symphonic bands, orchestra, chorale, University Singers and more. The grand finale will feature the 350-member Fightin’ Blue Hen Marching Band.

Tickets are $15, and all seats are reserved. Tickets may be purchased in advance at the Trabant University Center and the Bob Carpenter Center box offices or purchased at the door.

UD’s Jazz Ensemble II performs at Calliope VIII.
Sponsored by the music department and UD’s Performing Arts Series, the popular event is held annually, and all proceeds benefit the Department of Music Scholarship Fund.
