Bookstore to offer ‘Football Mondays’ discounts

9:14 a.m., Aug. 19, 2005--As the Fightin’ Blue Hens are busy preparing for victory this fall -- so is the University Bookstore. Mondays, from Sept. 12-Nov. 21, the Bookstore will be offering 30 percent discounts off entire purchases of UD merchandise on "Football Mondays" after each winning game.

“Basically we want to celebrate when the Blue Hens win,” Jennifer Galt, bookstore manager, said.

The 30 percent discount will be good for merchandise bearing the UD logo, found at all UD Bookstore locations, including the main bookstore located in the Perkins Student Center, the YouDee Shop in the Trabant University Center and HenEssentials in the Rust Ice Arena.

Galt said the Bookstore has raised the stakes this year by expanding the discount to its entire stock of UD merchandise purchases, instead of discounting a single item, and by boosting the discount to 30 percent from 25 percent.
