Library Commons, snack bar to ease finals' crunch

The Euro Bistro Snack Bar in Morris Library provides refreshment during study breaks.
9:54 a.m., April 14, 2005--Attention UD students: Whether you burn the midnight oil, are up before the chickens, are a nine-to-fiver, or somewhere in between, the Morris Library Commons will be open 24 hours on specified days before final exams week and throughout exam week as a quiet place to study.

Beginning Reading Day, Thursday, May 19, and during exam week, students can fortify themselves with food and munchies from the Euro Bistro Snack Bar until 2 a.m., while hitting the books. Prepackaged baked goods, sandwiches, salads, candies, snacks, coffee and bottled beverages will be available.

Currently, the Morris Library Commons is open all night Sundays through Wednesdays. In time for the final exam period, the Commons will be open 24/7 from Thursday, May 5, until 7 p.m., Friday, May 27, when the last exam begins.

Provost Dan Rich said that the Commons schedule was in response to student requests for additional late-night study locations and based on an analysis of the Common’s use during the fall semester exam period.
