Biomedical engineering research day May 13

1:53 p.m., May 6, 2005--The Center for Biomedical Engineering Research (CBER) will host its second annual research day from 9 a.m.-3:45 p.m. on Friday, May 13, on the second floor of Spencer Lab and room 106 of the Center for Composite Materials.

Launched in 2004 to showcase the varied types of biomedical engineering research happening at UD, the event will feature approximately 50 student and postdoctoral presentations.

Below is the schedule of events:

  • Poster session, 9-10 a.m., second floor, Spencer Lab;
  • Keynote lecture by Dr. Steven Kautz, University of Florida, 10:15-11:15, room 106, Center for Composite Materials;
  • Poster session, 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., second floor, Spencer Lab;
  • Podium presentations, 1:30-2:30 p.m., room 106, Center for Composite Materials; and
  • Podium presentations, 2:45-3:45 p.m., room 106, Center for Composite Materials.

The event is free and open to the public. Faculty and students with an interest in biomechanics and biomedical engineering are especially encouraged to attend. For more information, call (302) 831-4463.
