MS-Bike to the Bay fund-raiser set Oct. 1-2
4:18 p.m., Sept. 21, 2005--The University Derailleurs, composed of students, employees, alumni and friends of UD, will participate for the 13th year in the MS-Bike to the Bay fund-raiser, Saturday-Sunday, Oct. 1-2. The Derailleurs have raised more than $51,000 dollars in the past to support Multiple Sclerosis Society of Delaware research and programs. Last year the Derailleurs raised $7,325, ranking them 13th among other teams. This year their goal is $8,000, and they hope to break into the top-10 team list. Each rider must raise a minimum of $200 to participate in the 150-mile ride from Dover to Dewey Beach and back.
