“The Rainbow Fish”

With her lovely coloring and shimmering scales, the Rainbow Fish is used to being the most beautiful creature in the ocean. So, when the other fish ask her for some silver scales, she refuses. Will some good advice from the wise, old Octopus persuade the Rainbow Fish to share her gifts with those around her? Arts Power will perform a delightful and touching musical about the value of sharing true friendship with others, based on Marcus Pfister’s bestselling book, on Sunday, Nov. 13. The show is excellent for grades pre-K to 2.

“A Christmas Carol”

‘The Rainbow Fish’
It’s Christmas Eve in Victorian London. Ebenezer Scrooge thinks that Christmas is only an excuse for people who don’t want to work. What happens when Scrooge is visited by the spirits of Christmas Past, Present and Future? American Family Theatre will bring the classic holiday tale to life in an enchanting musical for all members of the family on Sunday, Dec. 11.

“Little Red Riding Hood and Other Stories”

Live theatre will cast its spell on very young audience members as they journey into the imaginary world of “Little Red Riding Hood” and other “Once Upon A Time” favorites, presented by the Pushcart Players on Saturday, March 11. Timeless tales, including “The Princess and the Pea,” “The Emperor’s New Clothes” and “All’s Well that Ends Well,” will be brought to life on stage with a slightly contemporary twist. A great introduction to the theater for younger students up to grade two.

“Curious George”

‘A Christmas Carol’
Everyone’s favorite monkey will be back in this play by Theatreworks USA on Sunday, Feb. 12. When the Man in the Yellow Hat goes to Africa to bring back a monkey for the zoo, he meets George, a mischievous, loveable little monkey. With Curious George at his side, his life will never be the same! But George has to live at the zoo, not in a real home. So, he plots an escape and borrows some balloons, which carry him up, higher and higher, away from the zoo and the Man in the Yellow Hat. As the Man in the Yellow Hat searches for him, George has many new adventures; after all, he is Curious George! Recommended for grades pre-K to third grade.

“Alice in Wonderland”

Filled with colorful sets and inventive costumes, American Family Theater’s production of “Alice in Wonderland” is sure to enchant all members of the family on Sunday, April 23. The audience will accompany Alice as she follows the White Rabbit to Wonderland and meets Tweedledum, Tweedledee, the Queen of Hearts, the Knave of Hearts and the Mad Hatter.
