The popular Autumn Harvest Cooking Class will be held from 6-9 p.m., Monday, Sept. 27. Participants will get top-notch instruction on creating a winning meal that makes use of the season’s bounty. The menu includes duck wrapped in phyllo with boursin cheese and creme de cassis sauce, spinach salad with chutney dressing, grilled swordfish with pineapple-jalapeno salsa, steamed asparagus with almond butter, Romano potatoes and chocolate banana bread pudding with vanilla sauce. Price for the class is $27.95 per person, which includes both the instruction and the meal.

Chef’s Table nights, held Friday, Oct. 15, and Saturday, Oct. 16, will feature tableside preparation of two special menus. Patrons can choose from filet of beefsteak Dianne with oven-roasted tournée potatoes and sugar snap peas for $19.95 or brandy-flambé tarragon shrimp over angel hair for $18.95. Both meals include a house salad with a choice of dressings.

The Halloween Spooktacular will offer a spirited menu from 5-8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 28, during which kids in costume will receive a special treat. The family friendly fare includes pumpkin bisque, green goblin salad with assorted dressings, black forest chicken in wild mushroom sauce, Halloween ham with raisin sauce, frightening fish sticks with Tartar sauce, freaky fries with cheese sauce, ghostly green beans with almonds, witch’s warm apple cobbler, chocolate mummy mud pie and creepy cookies. The Blue & Gold Club also has exciting fare for Blue Hen football fans. Pregame tailgates at the club’s tent in the back of the Delaware Stadium are offered during home games and “Tailgate on the Go!” is available for fans wishing to pick up delicacies for their own tailgate parties.

The Blue & Gold Club also will offer visitors special buffet meals during Freshman Family Weekend, Friday-Sunday, Sept. 17-19; Homecoming Weekend, Friday-Sunday, Oct. 1-3; and Parents & Family Weekend, Friday-Sunday, Oct. 22-24.
