Hotel offers holiday discount

4:10 p.m., Dec. 9, 2004--Friends, relatives and guests traveling to Newark between Dec. 17 and Jan. 2 will be able to stay at the new Courtyard Newark-University of Delaware for only $79 a night for double occupancy. All rates are for standard rooms, based on availability and subject to additional taxes.

The Courtyard’s "Home for the Holidays" promotion is aimed at providing comfortable accommodations for visiting family and friends at a reduced rate at a brand new facility with all the amenities a first-class hotel can provide.

Promotional material for the special rate, in imitation of "A Visit From St. Nicholas," says,

“Twas the holiday season and all through the area
Visiting guests would cause ‘housing hysteria.’

"Relatives traveling from places afar...
Some of them flying; some coming by car....

“We’ll take care of your guests as they stay through the night
With convenience and comfort—at a rate that’s 'just right.'

“So, if you’d like to share Happy Holidays with all,
