Career fairs for teachers set for March 17-18 4:20 p.m., Feb. 13, 2004--Seniors hoping to secure education positions for the 2004-05 school year will want to mark their calendars for two upcoming career fairs for teachers, set for Wednesday and Thursday, March 17 and 18. The fairs, which are cosponsored by the MBNA Career Services Center and the University Council on Teacher Education, will draw recruiters from more than 120 school districts nationwide. Résumés will be reviewed, on-the-spot interviews will be conducted and contracts will be offered to candidates pursuing positions as teachers, administrators and school specialists. The fair on Wednesday, March 17, will run from 2-8 p.m. in Multipurpose Rooms A, B and C of the Trabant University Center and will feature recruiters from Delaware public schools. The fair on Thursday, March 18, will run from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. in the Bob Carpenter Sports/Convocation Center and will feature recruiters from Delaware, California, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, North Carolina and several other states with Delaware certification reciprocity. Both fairs are open to UD students, alumni and interested members of the community, but candidates must be pre-registered to attend.
