Department charge cards can now be used for dining

2:47 p.m., Dec. 2, 2003--Using the Blue & Gold Club and Vita Nova for business dining now is more convenient because Procurement Services has approved the use of University Procurement Cards for the two on-campus dining locations. The use of internal journal vouchers or charge for services forms will be discontinued at these two locations.

The University Procurement Card cannot be used at other dining locations.

“This is also an effort to reduce the cost of processing internal dining transactions at these locations,” Bill Spear, director of financial and information services, said. “It's one more step toward the University's goal of a paperless campus.”
But, Spear emphasized, the card can only be used for department-approved dining at both restaurants.

To use the Procurement Card at the Blue & Gold Club, a departmental membership in the club is required. When making reservations and during the time of service, both the membership number and Procurement Card number are needed.

Departmental memberships in the Blue & Gold Club are provided at no charge. To become a member, e-mail the Blue & Gold Club at [bluegoldclub@udel.edu], or call 831-2582.
At Vita Nova, the Procurement Card number is needed during the time of service.
For more information, visit [www.udel.edu/procurement/pcard/]. Individuals who need a Procurement Card should e-mail Procurement Services at [procurement@udel.edu] or call 831-2159.
