Blue & Gold Club hosts special seasonal events

5:02 p.m., May 6, 2004--The Blue & Gold Club is set to host a number of special events celebrating the tastes of spring and summer this May and June. From a Mother’s Day Brunch to the savory aroma of a California wine tasting, the special events will showcase various seasonal themes.

A special Mother’s Day Brunch is slated for 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Sunday, May 9, featuring an assortment of muffins, bagels and danish, as well as omelets made to order, broccoli & mushroom quiche, and carved leg of lamb. The cost is $18.95 for adults and $9.95 for children 5-11.

An authentic California Wine dinner will be served from 5-8 p.m., Thursday, May 20. The menu will feature grilled shrimp with mango salsa, Asian pan-seared tuna, Pacific Rim duck breast and an assortment of desserts. Dinner is $25, and the wine accompaniment is $15.

The arrival of summer will bring the “Welcome to Summer Barbeque” from 6-9 p.m., Thursday, June 3. The menu will include grilled Jamaican jerk chicken, baby back ribs, hamburgers, hot dogs and corn on the cob. Homemade cookies and brownies will also be served. The cost is $17.95 for adults and $8.95 for children 5-11.

The Blue & Gold Club will celebrate dads with a Father’s Day Dinner on from 6-9 p.m., Friday, June 18. Various appetizers, soups, salads and entrees will be available at menu prices.
