UD is making the mark in college rankings!
Recent honors include:
- • U.S. News and World Report’s Best Colleges 2017, which ranked the University 30th among national public institutions and 79th among all national universities.
- • Princeton Review’s Colleges That Pay You Back: The 200 Schools That Give You the Best Bang for Your Tuition Buck, which noted UD students “benefit from a series of signature academic programs, where students rave about the ‘challenging classes and friendly professors.”
- • Kiplinger’s 2017 Best Value College, which ranked UD 39th among public colleges.

Construction is beginning on the 10-story, 120,000-square-foot STAR Tower, located on UD’s Science, Technology and Advanced Research (STAR) Campus, to serve as a home for high-tech businesses as well as several College of Health Sciences programs.
READ MORESTAR Campus’ new incubator space will be home to 12 of the region’s most promising start-up businesses. Called DPT@STAR and funded by a $3 million loan investment from the state, the 10,000-square-foot space will have prized “wet” labs, office spaces and opportunities for advanced research collaborations among industry, faculty and students. The tenants of the new Delaware Technology Park represent a mix of spinoffs evolved directly from UD research and outside entrepreneurs in life sciences, agriculture and materials science—all historical strengths for the University.
Atlanta Falcons linebacker Paul Worrilow, AS13, faced the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LI, making him the ninth former Blue Hen to become a member of a Super Bowl team.
