Alumni and others whose lives were touched share their memories and thoughts.
William L. Witham Jr., AS70
When I think of Jim, I fondly remember his remarkable and percolating personality. He was more than just a great political science professor. It is difficult to describe him as other than a friend, mentor, guide, confidant and indeed a father figure. He was one of the most influential persons in my life. I am sure others would say the same. Many of us at UD would consult him long after we graduated for advice on life. I even consulted him when I contemplated applying for a judgeship.
