Carla Guerrón-Montero is a cultural and applied anthropologist whose research has centered on phenomena of globalization, and more specifically, tourism, in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Dr. Guerrón Montero received a Licenciatura in Socio-Cultural Anthropology from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador, a M.A. in Applied Anthropology from Oregon State University (Corvallis, Oregon), and a Ph.D. in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Oregon (Eugene, Oregon).
Dr. Guerrón Montero is Associate Professor of Anthropology at the University of Delaware. She has a joint appointment with the Latin American Studies Program, and is affiliated faculty of the Women's Studies and Black American Studies programs at UD..
