Welcome to the Philosophy Department
at the University of Delaware

We are a large department with expertise and active scholarship across the core areas of philosophy. We offer an undergraduate major and minor in philosophy as well as a minor in religious studies. We are also part of the Cognitive Science Program, which offers an MA in Linguistics and Cognitive Science, and are active in the Interdisciplinary Ethics Program. The department is committed to service in the university, in the profession, and in the community.

The Philosophy Club is back

For erudite discourse on matters philosophical, the Philosophy Club meets every Tuesday at 5pm in Gore 204. Hosting themed discussions, guest lectures, and movies, meetings of the Philosophy Club are open to all. The Club is molded by its members so come with your ideas for this new club on campus.
