Leaving for Colorado Springs, Colorado, are Airmen 1st Class Sharon Dominguez, an electrical and computer engineering major, Luke McFadden, a university studies student, and Ryan Weber, who is enrolled but on military leave from UD. Dominguez and McFadden have been accepted into the academy’s Class of 2019, and Weber has been accepted into the academy’s preparatory school. Upon completion, he will be eligible to apply to join the Class of 2020.

The airmen took advantage of the Air Force Academy’s Leaders Encouraging Airman Development (LEAD) Program, which encourages aspiring enlisted airmen age 23 and younger to attend the academy.

Dominguez enlisted in the Delaware ANG in August 2012 and is a certified radio frequency transmission systems technician in the 142nd Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron. McFadden enlisted in January 2013 and is a certified aircraft environment and electrical systems apprentice in the 166th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron.
