OEI seminar on trans* individuals
Office of Equity and Inclusion offers training for UD faculty, staff
11:28 a.m., April 6, 2015--The University of Delaware Office of Equity and Inclusion will present an Equity-in-Brief seminar on the topic of trans* individuals at noon, Tuesday, April 21, in the Perkins Student Center Gallery.
This one-hour seminar, designed to respond to current equity issues and showcase underutilized resources on the UD campus, will focus on transgender issues that go beyond the body. It will first serve to educate on the terminology and definitions regarding the trans* community, and the challenges that may arise in their personal and professional lives.

Participants will learn how they can help alleviate some of the difficulties that may occur in the workplace for students and/or colleagues, and gain a better understanding of how they can be supportive.
Additionally, seminar leaders will discuss the resources that the University already has in place to help support trans* individuals.
