June 6-9: Food and culture series

The 20th annual June Lecture Series at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UD in Wilmington will be held June 6-9. Titled 'June a la Carte,' this year's program focuses on great political documents, feminism, world politics and a Newark cuisine sampler.

Attending the Fall Career Fair gives proactive students the prime opportunity to network with hundreds of employers, jumpstart their careers paths, and make excellent first impressions.

Representatives will be in attendance to provide information regarding career opportunities within their organizations, as well as hiring needs and requirements for full-time jobs, and internships.

Fall Career Fair plans to host more than 200 employers this season, drawing over 1,500 applicants.

This year’s featured employers include: Aerotek, Baltimore Aircoil Company, Capital One, Computer Sciences Corporation, Deloitte and Touche, DuPont, General Dynamics - Electric Boat, Greater Baltimore Medical Center, JPMorgan Chase and Co., Lehigh Valley Health Network, Macy's Inc., Morgan Stanley, News America Marketing, Power Home Remodeling Group, and the U.S. Marine Corps.

In addition, the Career Services Center will be hosting a raffle-based social media contest. Based on the social media participation and use of the hashtag #UDFallFair, two students will each be selected to win two Jim Gaffigan tickets for the Friday night comedy show during Parents and Family Weekend. Only posts using the hashtag on social media sites Instagram, Facebook and Twitter will be counted in the contest. The more students use the hashtag #UDFallFair, the more times their names will be entered into the raffle.
