UD Alumni Association sets women's basketball event Feb. 24
8:41 a.m., Feb. 8, 2013--The University of Delaware Alumni Association will hold a women’s basketball pregame event on Sunday afternoon, Feb. 24, at the Bob Carpenter Center.
Game time is 2 p.m., with the nationally ranked Blue Hens taking on James Madison University in a Colonial Athletic Association contest.
A pregame reception will be held in the lobby of the new addition to the Bob Carpenter Center.
All who attend are encouraged to wear pink as part of the “Dare to the Strong” women’s health awareness program.

Wednesday, Feb. 13, 7 p.m.: UD men's basketball at Northeastern. UD alumni can get discounted tickets and bring the whole family to cheer on the Blue Hens men’s basketball team as they take on Northeastern University at Matthews Arena in Boston.
Friday, Feb. 15, 6 p.m.: Phoenix happy hour. UD alumni will hold a happy hour event at Dave and Busters in Phoenix at which they can meet UD Alumni Relations staff and reminisce with fellow UD graduates about life back on campus. Friends and families are welcome.
Saturday, Feb. 16, 11 a.m.: Women's lacrosse alumnae ice breaker reception. Alumni are invited to join UD women’s lacrosse coach Kateri Linville, a 2003 graduate, and her team to celebrate the start of the 2013 season.
Tuesday, Feb. 19, 5 p.m.: Philadelphia happy hour. The Philadelphia Alumni Club will sponsor happy hour and Quizzo at Cavanaugh’s Rittenhouse.
Wednesday, Feb. 20, 6:30 p.m.: Washington, D.C. Alumni Club town hall meeting. The Washington, D.C., Alumni Club will hold a town hall meeting at which Blue Hens can get to know fellow alumni and D.C. alumni club board representatives over drinks and snacks. There will be an open discussion about the future direction of the club. Alumni are invited to share ideas and offer feedback.
Thursday, Feb. 21, 5:30 p.m.: Chicago Alumni Club networking happy hour. The Chicago Alumni Club holds a casual networking happy hour the third Thursday of each month.
Saturday, Feb. 23, 8:15 a.m.: Lancaster alumni at the Barnes Foundation. Lancaster, Pa., area alumni are invited to enjoy a day at the Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia. Price includes admission to the museum and round-trip bus transportation from Lancaster.
Saturday, Feb. 23, 3:30 p.m.: Baltimore alumni at The Brewer's Art. Baltimore alumni will get together for a tour and tasting at The Brewer's Art.
Tuesday, Feb. 26, 6 p.m.: An Evening of Conversations and Connections with New York City Alumni. Alumni, students and friends will gather at this second annual Evening of Conversations and Connections event in New York City. Those who attend can meet and learn from successful UD alumni and expand their professional networks. The evening’s theme, “Lessons in Global Strategies,” will feature an interactive discussion focused on the ever-increasing importance of engaging in worldwide business and communications across all industries.
Saturday, March 2, 4 p.m.: Seattle Blue Hens happy hour. Join UD graduates in Seattle at Delaware native Chef Tom Douglas' establishment, the Brave Horse Tavern, for drinks, complimentary appetizers and good times.
Saturday, March 9, 10 a.m.: Philadelphia’s Please Touch Museum. UD alumni and their families will gather for a fun-filled day at the Please Touch Museum in Philadelphia.
Saturday, March 9, 10 a.m.: Baltimore’s Port Discovery. UD alumni and their families will gather for a fun-filled day at the Port Discovery Children’s Museum in Baltimore. Those who attend can enjoy the interactive Wizard of Oz traveling exhibit and a private lunch in the atrium.
Saturday, March 9, 7 p.m. Crew alumni winter party. The UD Men’s Crew Alumni Association and the Women’s Rowing Alumni will host a winter social at the historic Malta Boathouse, on iconic Boathouse Row on Kelly Drive in Philadelphia. There will be a silent auction, raffle and rowing merchandise for sale.
