How to Scan your Computer in Safe Mode
Windows Vista
- Make sure your computer is running in Safe mode.
- From the Start menu, select All Programs | McAfee | On-Demand Scan.
- Click Start to begin the scan.
- VirusScan will take between 5 minutes and several hours to scan your computer's hard drive(s), depending on how much data is stored on your hard drive(s).
- Close VirusScan when the scan is complete.
- Reboot your computer into regular mode.
