Tutorials for Publishing Web Pages at the University of Delaware

These printable tutorials provide the information you will need to publish Web pages at the University of Delaware. You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer to print these documents. For additional information on publishing Web pages, consult the IT Help Center or attend a Information Technologies training session.

Getting Started With Web Publishing--This introduction to Web publishing using Mozilla Composer walks you through preparing a Web page from scratch or from a template.

Getting Started With Web Publishing Using NVu--If you've switched to NVu, you might find this tutorial useful. This introduction to Web publishing using NVu walks you through preparing a Web page from scratch or from a template.

Basic HTML 1 --This tutorial teaches you how to use Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) to prepare a basic Web document. To use the tutorial fully, you must download the following two files to your computer: spid.gif and special.html. To do so, click on the link for each file. When the file appears in the browser window, choose "Save As" from the "File" menu and save the file to your computer.

Basic HTML 2 --This tutorial teaches more about Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), including adding colors to a document, creating tables, and including image maps and guestbook forms on your Web page. To use the tutorial fully, you must download the following file to your computer: style.css. To do so, right-click on the link for the file. From the pop-up menu, choose "Save Link As" and save the file to the folder that contains the Web file you're creating.
