Catalog Update Policy

The text of the online Graduate Catalog mirrors that of the printed Catalog.  The policies and requirements listed in the Catalog are in effect for the entirety of the academic year.  In order to minimize confusion and to maintain consistency between the two versions of the Catalog, both versions are edited once annually.  The new edition of the Catalog - both print and online versions - is released in late August of each year.  Previous editions of the Catalog are maintained online and may be accessed from http://www.udel.edu/provost/handbooks.html.

Departments and offices who wish to request changes to the text of the Catalog should submit their requests on the tearsheets ("blue pages") that are sent to department heads in winter.  Note that all substantive changes to degree requirements and academic policies must be approved by the Faculty Senate in order to appear in the Catalog.

Department heads may request an immediate correction of substantive errors in the degree requirements and policies in the online Graduate Catalog by sending e-mail to mww@udel.edu, with cc's to Mary Martin, Associate Director for Graduate Academic Affairs, <marym@udel.edu> and to the Dean's Office representative listed below.  Online corrections to academic program requirements must be approved by the appropriate Dean's Office.   The corrections will be made only if the benefit of making an immediate correction online outweighs the benefit of maintaining consistency in the print and online versions.
