Office of the Provost

About the Office

Welcome to the Office of the Provost! As the chief academic officer of the University, the Provost is responsible for the administration of all programs of instruction, research, and service, and for facilitating the success of the University's faculty and students. Next in authority to the President of the University, he is a member of all University-wide councils and agencies and performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the President. The deans of the seven colleges report directly to him as do the Vice Provost for Academic Affairs and International Programs and the Vice Provost for Research and Graduate Studies. The Provost also oversees the activities of the Delaware Biotechnology Institute, Enrollment Services programs, the libraries, the offices of Undergraduate and Graduate Studies and the Center for International Studies.
