Twilight ceremony

The IT-UMS Performance and Events group provided the public address system on the south Green for the annual Twilight Induction Ceremony. The speaker towers and line array rig provided sound for the Class of 2020 from the steps of Memorial Hall to the southern end of Morris Library. In addition, IT Network and Systems Services (IT-NSS) provided temporary additional W-Fi coverage for that portion of the Green, allowing the University’s Office of Communications and Marketing and individual students to record and share the ceremony with people around the globe.

Replay system for CAA football officials

The IT-UMS Media Engineering and Design group worked with IT-NSS to install a new football officials’ video replay system in Delaware Stadium. Newly mandated by the CAA and NCAA, the system provides game officials with four different camera angles from which they can confirm or reverse a call on the field. IT-UMS added two additional cameras to the existing production system as well as booth-to-field communications.
