Mission Statement


	The mission of the FL Writing Assistance program is to promote the development of foreign language writing skills among students enrolled in 100-level courses in the Department of Foreign Languages & Literatures. As such, it aids in the departmental goal of providing "a broad range of educational courses and programs that build foreign language competence and enhance the understanding of foreign literatures and cultures both ancient and modern." The free services offered to students by the Writing Assistance Program seek to: Help students identify strengths and weaknesses in their foreign language writing skills Assist students in the development of strategies and procedures to enhance and improve their FL writing skills Support 100-level instructors in their goal of promoting the overall writing proficiency of their students The FLL writing center offers students: Individualized tutoring sessions led by specially-trained FL graduate students Workshops on various foreign language writing issues Relevant foreign language writing materials and resources
