Special programs -- Korea Local Authorities Foundation for International Relations

Korean public administrators

Ten public administrators from various municipalities in South Korea, including Seoul, spent four weeks studying at the ELI in July. The participants spent half their stay as guests of homestay families and half in the INNternationale residence hall (See article on INNternationale.) In addition to English classes in the mornings, twice a week they attended afternoon workshops on business and government English. Escorted by program coordinator Steven Lee, they met with Newark Mayor Vance Funk as well as Wilmington Mayor James Baker, visited the Constitution Center in Philadelphia, and toured Washington, D.C.
