Grades
Writing, thinking and class participation (more than mere attendance) are critical elements of this class. Please remember that (just as in the real-world media) timeliness counts; late assignments will automatically lose credit. Your grades will be based on these elements:
- "Pop" assignments (one-page quickies) - all together 15% of grade
- Analysis paper ("The Insider") - (3-5 pages) - 20% of grade
- Analysis project ("Internet Credibility") (5 pages) - 20% of grade
- Final exam paper (5-7 pages) - 40% of grade
- Attendance &
participation - 5% of grade
Note: Students missing four or more classes will automatically lose one grade.
