Virginia Bradley resides in Philadelphia, and her studio is at the Crane Arts Center in Northern Liberties. She is a Professor of Art at the University of Delaware where she teaches painting and drawing. Her recent project "A Fragile Grace" is based on the effects of natural phenomena in relationship to fictional spaces that have been created by man to inhabit/occupy. In this series the underlying theme is water. Interpretations of tsunami images from the 2011 tsunami in Japan combined with found 15th century Venetian images are the source material for the departure of the series.

Virginia will be an International Artist in Residence at Acme Studios in East London in the Fall of 2013. Virginia has been the recipient of several fellowships, including a McKnight Foundation Fellowship in Painting, Arts Midwest NEA Fellowship for Painting and two Minnesota State Arts Board Fellowships in Painting and Drawing. She has also completed several Percent for Art Commissions for the Minnesota State Arts Board. Virginia has also been a fellow at Yaddo, Sanskriti Kendra (New Delhi, India), Fundacion Valparaiso (Mojcar, Spain), Ragdale and the Virginia Center of Creative Arts.
