Festival of Words slated for Saturday 10:02 a.m., March 5, 2007--UD will host the seventh annual Festival of Words for middle and high school students and teachers from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Saturday, March 10, at the Trabant University Center and in the Willard Hall Education Building. E.R. Frank, award-winning young adult author, will be the keynote speaker in the morning. Her books include Life is Funny, America, Wrecked and Friction. Pat Mora, poet and author, will speak in the afternoon. Her book of poetry for adolescents, My Own True Name, will be the focus book of the festival. The event also will feature writing and art contests and breakout sessions related to books, including a session based on Mark Haddon's The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time featuring a representative from the Autism Society of Delaware.
