Odyssey of the Mind competition at UD Saturday

4:16 p.m., March 1, 2007--From 6 a.m.-8 p.m., Saturday, March 3, UD will host the regional 2007 Odyssey of the Mind competition, an educational event sponsored and coordinated annually by UD's College of Engineering.

Tournaments will take place at various buildings across campus, including Gore Hall, Sharp Lab, Smith Hall, Willard Hall Education Building and the Carpenter Sports Building.

Odyssey of the Mind is an international educational program that challenges students in kindergarten through college to apply their creative problem-solving skills to a variety of situations that range from building mechanical devices to interpreting literary classics. Participants work in teams at competitions that begin at regional levels and progress to the World Final held each year at Michigan State University.

For an entire schedule of events for the March 3 regional event at UD, visit [www.delcaps.org].
