Seniors vote this week for class gift

1:45 p.m., March 5, 2007--Now is the time for students graduating in May or January to vote to choose the Class of 2007 gift to the University--the traditional, lasting legacy of each graduating class.

To vote, go to [www.udel.edu/seniorclass] through Thursday, March 8, and click on the vote link. All students who vote will be entered into a drawing from the University Bookstore to win a $50 gift certificate towards a UD diploma frame and a free cap and gown for graduation.

The goal for this year's graduating class is to raise $50,000 for the class gift.

Many gift suggestions were submitted during the fall and spring semester, and the top five choices for voting are:

• Class of 2007 scholarship fund, endowing two $1,000 scholarships each year;
• Hen Zone renovation project, upgrading the Hen Zone with TVs, satellite dish and other equipment for a fun, relaxing environment for students;
• Landscaping project where most needed; and
• Support for UD's campus recycling program.
