Daffodil Day sales set new UD record

4:38 p.m., March 15, 2007--Everything's coming up daffodils on the UD campus and for the American Cancer Society--with more than $10,400 raised in sales for Daffodil Day, March 14, to be used for cancer research, education, advocacy and patient services.

“I am very excited,” Gwen Davis, administrative assistant in the Office of the Vice President and University Secretary and coordinator of the project, said. “Daffodil sales at UD increased by more than $1,300. This also is the first year students and staff of UD's College School were involved, and they sold $670 worth of daffodils.”

College School students also gave helping hands along with students from DUSC (the Delaware Undergraduate Student Congress) in distributing the daffodils when they were delivered on campus.
