Charles Elson, Edgar S. Woolard Jr. Chair and director of the John L. Weinberg Center for Corporate Governance, was quoted in an April 6 Chicago Tribune story about a windfall that executives of the Tribune Co. stand to gain following the company's recent sale. Elson also was quoted in the March 31 Forbes in a story on Dell, in the March 31 St. Paul Pioneer Press in a story on Northwest Airlines and in the March 31 Buffalo News in a story about First Niagara.

Mark Miller, Emma Smith Morris Professor of Political Science and International Relations, was quoted in an April 5 News Journal story about a hike in citizenship fees.

Robin Morgan, dean of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, was quoted in April 5 News Journal and Delaware State News stories about a new solar-powered poultry house in Laurel. The pilot project is a collaborative effort involving Allen Family Foods, whose chief executive officer, Charles C. “Chick” Allen III, is a UD alumnus. Also covering the ribbon-cutting ceremony were the Salisbury Daily Times, the Delaware Wave, the Delmarva Farmer, the Seaford Leader, WBOC-TV and WMDT-TV.

Louis Hirsh, director of admissions, was quoted in an April 4 front page News Journal story about web networks and their value to incoming college freshmen.

Harry Shipman, Annie Jump Cannon Chair of Physics and Astronomy, was quoted in an April 4 News Journal story about a spent stray bullet landing on a man soaking in his hot tub.

Jo Kallal, professor of fashion and apparel studies, was featured on an April 4 KYW-TV news segment on the quality of store brand clothes.

Michael Gamel-McCormick, interim chairperson of the Department of Individual and Family Studies, was quoted in an April 2 News Journal story about the importance of early learning and gaps in the system.

Jack Townsend, director of UD's Bank of America Career Services Center, was quoted in an April 2 News Journal story about high demand in the job market for recent college graduates.

Richard Hanley, associate professor of philosophy, was featured in an April 2 News Journal story about his book on the popular television series South Park.
