I-95 ramp to Route 273 closed Nov. 16-17

4:42 p.m., Nov. 16, 2004--The Delaware Department of Transportation has announced a change to the paving work for the ramp from I-95 southbound to Route 273 eastbound. The location will be closed from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 16, and Wednesday, Nov. 17, for bridge deck resurfacing.

There are two potential detour routes to follow. The preferred route for eastbound Route 273 is to take I-95 southbound past Route 273 to Route 896; back to I-95 northbound to exit at Route 273 eastbound. The other alternate detour is to take Route 1 southbound to Route 273 eastbound.

The ramp was originally scheduled to be closed from 6:30 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 13, and Saturday, Nov. 20. However, the work was postponed over the weekend due to cold weather conditions. It has been rescheduled during the week to take advantage of the warm weather that is more conducive to pavement repairs.
