UD procurement director wins national award
I am very flattered that my NAEB colleagues nominated me for this honor. But, I had the opportunity to receive this award because UD supports memberships in professional organizations. The award is for me, but also for the University, she said. NAEB members nominate their colleagues for the award, which is given to an NAEB member who made the most outstanding contribution to the profession during the year by teaching purchasing-related subjects at institutes or workshops, writing and having published articles directed toward the betterment of the purchasing profession or representing the purchasing profession, or NAEB, through speaking or writing engagements to the general public. Windley has been doing all three for most of the 15 years shes been an active member of NAEB. She has served on the faculty of the NAEBs Procurement Academy for 10 years teaching at both the introductory and advanced levels. She has made presentations at NAEB meetings and institutes, is on the editorial board of Journal, NAEBs magazine, and she writes a column entitled For What Its Worth for its electronic newsletter.
