Parent volunteers needed for DelaWorld

9:28 a.m., June 7, 2005--Parents of current UD students are invited to volunteer as panelists for "Parents Like You," a session that will be offered during this summer's DelaWorld 101 (new student orientation) program.

DelaWorld will be held weekdays from June 21-July 20 (except for July 1 and 4) in the Trabant University Center. Volunteers need only be available on at least one date to participate.

"Parents Like You" is a panel discussion during which parents of current UD students meet, answer questions and give guidance to parents of entering UD students. The session is scheduled each day from 12:45-1:20 p.m. Prospective panelists are asked to be available from noon-1:30 p.m. each day they volunteer.

While each session will be moderated by a UD staff member and volunteers will be given some guidelines for their role as panelists, parents of current UD students are encouraged to offer honest advice that will help parents ease the transition of new students at the University.
