5:07 p.m., April 19, 2005--Created especially for new UD students, The New UDirectory comes packed with photos and information about the Class of 2009.

Interested individuals with Internet access may order the book, submit a photo and make payment (by online check or credit card) at [www.udel.edu/PR/TheNewU/].

The New UDirectory is a great way for new students, including transfers, to learn about fellow classmates and make new friends right away. The book also contains useful details on how to get involved in student organizations and web sites to watch, along with beautiful photos of the campus.

With ads and money-saving coupons from local merchants, the book gives new students a chance to learn something about their new “hometown.”

Parents and family members will want to get their own copy as a memento marking the first step in their student’s college career.

Copies are $24.99 each. Parents or grandparents who purchase the book may add messages of encouragement for their students that will be printed in a special section for $5 each.

The New UDirectory is sponsored by the Delaware Undergraduate Student Congress and published by UD’s Office of Public Relations. Copies of the 8 1/2-by-11-inch softbound book will be mailed just before students come to campus.

UD departments that want to order The New UDirectory may go to “Request for Services--PR/Creative Services” in Web Forms. A charge of $24.99 for each copy ordered will be charged to the department’s ProCard.

For information about ordering The New UDirectory, visit [www.udel.edu/PR/TheNewU].

For more information, call (302) 831-2792 or e-mail [PublicRelations@udel.edu].
