Police investigate theft at convenience store 10:15 a.m., May 9, 2005--Newark Police are investigating a theft at the Sunoco Mart, 287 Elkton Rd., that occurred around 2 a.m., Saturday, May 7. A suspect entered the Sunoco Mart and initiated a purchase. When the clerk opened the cash drawer, the suspect jumped onto the counter and grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash from the drawer. He then left the store on foot in an unknown direction. The suspect is described as 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8inches tall, weighing 120-130 pounds, about 18 to 23 years old, with a thin build. He is clean-shaven with protruding teeth and was wearing a light blue Rocawear hooded sweatshirt, light blue jeans and a light blue baseball cap.
