State Arts Summit set Oct. 24

3:41 p.m., Aug. 19, 2005--The Delaware Division of the Arts will showcase the arts in Delaware at the 2005 Arts Summit on Monday, Oct. 24, at the Dover Downs Hotel and Conference Center in Dover.

The day begins with registration at 8 a.m. and closes with a reception from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Scheduled events include workshops on issues facing artists, live speakers, a virtual art gallery, readings and more. In addition, Delaware musicians, storytellers, dancers and artists will perform throughout the day.

Arts organization staff, artists, educators, community leaders, program planners and others interested in the arts are encouraged to attend. Register online at [www.artsdel.org/summit/default.shtml].
