Student injured in laboratory

5:12 p.m., April 6, 2005--A UD graduate student was injured around 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 6, in Lammot du Pont Laboratory. He was performing a chemical reaction in a glass vessel, when it exploded. The student, who suffered injuries to his hand, was treated by the UD Emergency Care Unit and taken to Christiana Hospital.
