UDFSC Precisionaires finish 5th in nationals 10:15 a.m., April 6, 2005--The Precisionaires, the University of Delaware Figure Skating Clubs synchronized skating team, finished in fifth place in the collegiate division at the 2005 U.S. Synchronized Team Skating Championships, held Feb. 23-26 at the Tsongas Arena in Lowell, Mass. The Precisionaires, who are coached by Megan O'Donnell and Wendy Deppe, entered the national competition as the Eastern Sectional champion and as the defending national bronze medalists. Miami University of Ohio won the national championship. Rounding out the top five were teams from Western Michigan University, Michigan State University, the University of Michigan and UD. Also participating in the national championships were the UDFSC Diamondaires, who finished sixth in the adult division; the Diamond Chips, who finished sixth in the intermediate division; and the Delaware Diamonds, who finished sixth in the adult masters division.
