Man robbed near Townsend Hall June 12

12:16 p.m., June 13, 2005--University Police are investigating the assault and robbery of a 19-year-old man that occurred around 9:40 p.m., Sunday, June 12, near Townsend Hall on South College Avenue.

The victim, who is not a UD student, was walking north on the east side of South College Avenue when he heard someone calling from the bushes in front of Townsend Hall. He walked into the bushes and was assaulted by two individuals. His wallet fell out of his pants and was stolen. The suspects ran north, and the victim ran south to the Rust Ice Arena, where he used an emergency blue light phone to report the incident. The victim received a minor cut to his forehead and scratches to his body and arms.
