N.J. UD license plate sales aid students

3:40 p.m., Sept. 16, 2005--The first of the University of Delaware license plates available for UD alumni who live and drive in the Garden State have been sold. The first 100 UD New Jersey license plates were made available to alums in an online auction held from Sept. 6-14.

During the auction, where winning bids ranged from $60 to $310, more than $1,900 was raised for student scholarships to be awarded by the UD Alumni Association.

With the holiday season just around the corner, UD license plates are a great gift idea for all the Blue Hens on your holiday gift list. In addition to the Garden State, UD license plates also are available in Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania.

For more information, or to order UD license plates, visit [www.udel.edu/alumni/plates.html], e-mail [UD-plate@udel.edu] or call the Office of Alumni University Relations at (302) 831-2341.
