Newark hosts Citizens Police Academy this fall 1:31 p.m., June 30, 2005--Anyone over 18 and interested in learning about law enforcement firsthand is invited to attend the seventh Citizens Police Academy hosted by the Newark Police Department from 6:30-10:30 p.m., Wednesdays, from Sept. 28-Nov. 16. The program is free and offers a variety of instruction, including firsthand participation, role-playing and classroom lectures. There are 10 classes scheduled over an eight-week period.
