4:47 p.m., April 28, 2005--Byong Man Ahn, president of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in Seoul, Korea, met with UD President David P. Roselle and James Magee, chairperson of UD’s Department of Political Science and International Relations, at a small ceremony on Tuesday afternoon, April 26, at Hullihen Hall.

Ahn, who received an honorary doctor of humane letters degree from the University of Delaware at Winter Commencement 2004, serves as distinguished visiting professor and Asian scholar-in-residence at UD.

Since visiting UD as a Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence more than 20 years ago, Ahn has continued to foster faculty and student exchange between South Korea and the United States, and he has gained prominence as one of the foremost educational leaders and scholars in Korea.
